This testing machine has been used for a long time to test hardness of metals. Because the press mark of this machine is much larger than the one of other hardness testers, it allows a very accurate measurement. It is possible to make accurate measurements on materials of rough surface, too.
This machine is mostly used for testing among others cast, forged or structural materials and rails.
Features
This machine consists of three parts, the body, the hydraulic part and the weights. Use the manual plunger pump to move the main cylinder by the spherical piston on which the weights are hanging. Set a load of 500-3000 kg depending on the material to be tested on the steel holder of the size of 5 or 10 mm. Brinell hardness can be measured by this method.
