Hello Flip! I know you live in the Netherlands.
Is it a little trip that you went to Brussels,Belgian?

Ans.
Brussels is one hour drive from the place I live, same distance as Amsterdam, so no problem. I'd rather liked it when Ryuichi also played in the Netherlands. He has enough fans to fill a place like the Amsterdam Opera house (Carre).

It is said that Ryuichi Sakamoto did the Spinning( =Dj play).
What kind of performance was it? And What kind of sound materials did he select?

Ans.
It was ambient, voices, drips, gothic choir, German texts, some violin pieves, very abstract. Chaos, in a gentle way, but not disturbing. I felt it was a very clever way to set the minds of the audinece for more 2 hours serene piano sounds.

How was audience's responses in Brussels?

Ans.
The DJ thing was strange. People didn't know if he was finished, at first, hesitated to clap. Only a few people knew BTTB and when the song was finished. After some songs Ryuichi ended it with his hands up, so everybody knew it was ok to clap. The crowd got more and more enthousiastic, with Merry Christmas as an absolute climax. It's a cliche, but the crowd was very excited at that moment. The John Cage/prepared piano thing was a bit strange for most of the people. Bacteria do sleep.

Frankly talk your impression about the whole of the program of the concert in Brussels.

Unforgettable. The most impressive musical performance I winessed yet. Just one guy, with a piano.

What kind of impression did Ryuichi Sakamoto as a musician give you?

Ans.
Happy, relieved, peasefull, very relaxed. Healing music perhaps?
