   章とか節とかの数字を取り払い、読みやすくしたもの。話し手が誰であるかを明示し、対話の形に改めたり、詩の形をわかりやすくしたり、小説を読むように聖書を読むことを目標にしたもの。

   旧約・新約のすべての作品をAsimovが解説します。
   
5. The Bible: Old Testament Illustrated Selections (A John Macrae Book)
   旧約に題材を取った絵画を解説する形で、King James版の原文を抜粋してそのまま載せている。
   
6. The Bible Story Library (Bobbs Merrill)
   子供のための聖書読本。大型で、700ページ以上あるが、図版が多いし、英語が易しいので楽に読める。図版は有名画家が描いたものと挿し絵画家のDore画家が書いたもの。
