An invitation to Mailing List 'Hello, World!'
I am a Japanese male, and I have been very curious about other cultures and the people whose background is different from mine.
Internet has been making the world smaller and smaller in many senses. About 10 years ago, we couldn't have imagined the world where we could exchange our opinions easily and instantly with many people in the world. But I think this is only the beginning. Interent will make our life style and our human relations drastically in the near future. Now we are in the period when our anscestors can't have imagined and recofnized at all.
We will see that we are the same human beings wherever we live after all. But there are still many prejudices and misunderstanding here and there, and many disastors caused by such misunderstanding are happening somewhere in the world almost everyday. So it will be more and more importan for us to understand each other even if their cultural background is so different from ours.
Oh, I am not always thinking about such serious discussions. My main purpose is to enjoy other people's life style and ideas as well as ours. So let's exchange our ideas and opinions frankly. Many different indivisuals from all over the world may offer us more pleasure and entertainment, for we can know their customs and how they think in their own way.
This Mailing List is for those who have opinions and consciousness we live in the same small globe, and who think understanding other cultures better can make more peaceful world.
